COVID POLICY

Welcome – We want to let you know that Kanvas Event Center is following all local, state, federal and CDC guidelines and recommendations to prevent the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). Currently the social distancing guidelines are currently scheduled to remain in effect indefinitely. While businesses have re-opened, it will not be “business as usual” for a long while. Therefore, we are required to modify our event rentals during this phase to keep everyone safe. Due to the COVID 19 regulations, The State of PA and The City of Philadelphia has put in place for Celebrations, we will not be allowing more than 25 guests. This will remain in effect until further notice. We are hopeful that if the situation in Philadelphia stabilizes and restrictions are loosened we will be allowed to increase our guest count slightly but there is no guarantee. We apologize for this disappointment and inconvenience but the safety of our clients, their guests and our staff is of the utmost importance to us and as there are still active cases being diagnosed everyday and asymptomatic transmission with no treatment or vaccine available.

Moving forward, our staff will be vigilant about asking any person(s) who appears to be symptomatic, to please exit the premises immediately. We further ask that you help us by informing your guests if they are not feeling well to please stay at home. Members of our vulnerable population should also be asked to stay home and tune in virtually. For your safety and ours, if you have a event but you or any of your guests are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, coughing or other respiratory symptoms or have traveled to any State which is now considered a “hot spot”, please call to reschedule your event as soon as possible.

If your event has been affected by Covid-19, we have relaxed our rescheduling policies and will allow you to reschedule your event anytime between now and 2021 without penalty. Of course rescheduling will be based on availability, but we will try our best to find a new date that works for you. We will also provide wi-fi access and projector equipment so the event can be streamed live or shared on your personal social media accounts. We are also now offering virtual access using ZOOM for guests to view the event virtually who cannot attend in person.

ALL GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING/MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE INSIDE THE PREMISES

Our normally scheduled Wednesday weekly Open House is being suspended indefinitely. Visits will be by appointment only until further notice.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we want to ensure the safest environment for you, your guests and our staff. We are eager to re-open and celebrate this time with you but we must be careful and responsible in doing so. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and adhere to the recommendations of the CDC, state and local health officials and make any adjustments if necessary and send notifications of any such changes promptly.
